Introduction
Passport Office, Tiruchirappalli started functioning from 23rd March 1983. It caters to eight districts viz Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Nagappattinam, Perambalur, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Ariyalur and Thiruvarur. The office is located at W.B. Road,Water Tank Building, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu-620008.

Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at Passport Seva Kendra(s) under this Passport Office. Click here for details.
  1. Categories of Applicants allowed as “Walk-In with ARN”

    Following mentioned categories of applicants are allowed as “Walk-in Applicants”. Applicants falling under these categories need to register Online, fill in the online application form and generate Application Reference Number (ARN) at least one day in advance before visiting the PSK. Such applicants may visit the PSK with required set of documents and a copy of printed ARN sheet
    1. Applicants for issue of Police Clearance Certificates
    2. Applicants applying under “Tatkaal category (Fresh & reissue)” - (Only at PSK Trichy)
    3. Applicants for deletion of ECR status in passports without any change in personal particulars
    4. Applicants seeking inclusion of their spouse's name in the passport
    5. Applicants with valid passports, seeking new booklets in case of exhaustion of the visa pages
    6. Senior citizens (above 60 years)
    7. Minors below 15 years whose parents hold valid passports
    8. Physically challenged persons
    9. Central / State Govt. employees, their spouses and dependant minor children who have “No Objection Certificate" / Identity Certificate
    10. Applicants who, have been refused token due to non-availability of required set of documents can re-visit the same PSK as Walk-In, before 1 PM throughout the validity period of ARN (ARN is valid for 90 days from the date of creation).
  2. Starting 16th August 2011, Tatkaal applications are being accepted at Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), Trichy, temporarily due to administrative reasons. Normal applications for Fresh/Reissue and Miscellaneous services will continue to be accepted at both Trichy and Thanjavur PSKs.
  3. All Tatkaal applicants are requested to first visit RPO Office at Marakadai for preliminary screening of their documents.

    10. Applicants from all the three districts under the jurisdiction of RPO Trivendrum i.e. Trivandrum, Kollam and Pathanamthitta ( for all passport services at PSK Neyyattinkara only)
  2. The Passport Officer, Trivandrum will conduct a Passport Adalat at Passport Office, Trivandrum from 10 AM to 4 PM on Friday, the 31st May, 2013 to slove grievances connected with pending passport applications relating to Trivandrum, Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts. Grievances from those who have not received their passport or any intimation even after 45days of application will be entertained in the Adalat. Interested applicants may register themselves by sending in their grievances in writing along with Name, Address, File Number and Date of Application, in an envelope marked 'Passport Adalat'. The Adalat application may be submitted to the Passport Officer, S.N.S.M. Building, Kaithamukku, Trivandrum-695024 either personally or by post so as to reach the ofice by Tuesday, 28.05.2013.
